AFI is Business and Technology Partner for Saperion/LuraDocument
AFI and Algo Vision LuraTech have integrated LuraDocument into Saperion.
This now generally available solution has already been implemented with
a first AFI reference customer. Minol Messtechnik is using LuraDocument
in its Saperion Archive with reading printouts and associated
information. This archive will grow to about 30 million documents in
the foreseeable future.
Of course, other Saperion partners and users can also add to this
solution and convert to LuraDocument with their archive.

New regional test center in Berlin: minuskel screen partner GmbH
The idea of regional test centers continues: Following Image Management
Rath in southern Germany, minuskel screen partner GmbH in
Berlin/Brandenburg has established another regional test center. The
test centers enable customers and interested parties to go to the heart
of the matter. The applications of our partners are used to show live
how LuraDocument really works. Archiving in color is thus no longer
cloaked in mystery! Minuskel also offers other services in addition to
its knowledge management product, DARWIN. The German Resistance
Memorial Center is one of the customers of both Algo Vision LuraTech
and minuskel.
More information on the new regional test center is at:
Knighthood: JPEG2000 now available directly from Adobe in Photoshop beginning with 7.01
The acceptance of the worldwide standard JPEG2000 is undeniable:
The DICOM Group is recommending JPEG2000 in the medical application
area, and now Adobe is following Corel as a supporter of JPEG2000 in
the graphics industry. Knighthood has been conferred upon JPEG2000,
because Adobe is now offering a PlugIn for about EUR 119 even for
Photoshop beginning with the latest version 7.01. With Adobe,
JPEG2000 will also make an entrance in other sectors - for example,
in the pre-press industry. Users of older versions of Photoshop will
not go empty-handed either because a much more affordable PlugIn has
been available for all versions on our web page for some time.
New customers: Decision for LuraDocument and LuraWave.jp2
Many new customers have chosen data compression products by Algo Vision
LuraTech for their solutions, for example:
- Infrared Components Corp., Utica, NY uses LuraWave in its video cameras.
- Aver Software Technologies Ltd., India uses LuraWave.jp2 C-SDK to equip its AverMagic graphics tool with JPEG2000.
- Imtania Co, Ltd., Japan uses JPEG2000 by means of LuraWave.jp2 C-SDK for a graphics-communications software.
- Algotec, Israel uses LuraWave.jp2 Java/JNI-SDK for JPEG2000 in its medical application CD-Surf.
- European Union Satellite Center is using LuraWave in GeoTIFF to convert to Java by means of JAI.
- Wellogic, Cambridge, MA uses LuraWave.jp2 C-SDK for Windows and Macs in its health care platform for Wellogic Insight.
