LuraDocument.jpm: Further product releases

At last, LuraDocument.jpm, the ISO standard compliant successor to the familiar LDF format has arrived. JPEG2000/Part6 defines JPM as a file format, whereby the segmentation of ideas and the optimal compression technique for each layer, as well as performance, are absolutely comparable with the previous LuraDocument.

The JPEG2000 standard comprises many parts. Part 1 covering image compression is well known. Here we offer LuraWave.jp2 with powerful SDKs and tools. Part 6 covers Mixed Raster Content (MRC), which is used e.g. with scanned color documents. For many users, this is a much more specialized and better solution, which extends beyond pure image compression, e.g. for color archiving.

The LuraDocument.jpm product range has once again achieved its accustomed breadth. Besides C-SDK and ActiveX Control already available, there is now LuraDocument Capture with JPM support, a JPM IrfanView plug-in, as well as the CommandLine-Tool. More products will follow very soon. LuraWave.jp2: Java/JNI-SDK for fast Java applications

Ever more customers use our Java/JNI-SDK to set up their Java applications with really fast JPEG2000. SDK provides complete integration into JAI (Java Advanced Imaging), based however on the native compression library. Despite the limitations imposed by Java Bytecode, you still obtain full performance for JPEG2000 as a result. As the native libraries are available for almost all common operating systems, this architecture also does not present any disadvantages.

As was previously the case with C-SDKs, the Java/JNI-SDKs are also available packaged with runtime licenses at an attractive price. Request your demo version or a non-binding quotation:

New partner: ReproZentrum Rosenberger in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

With its vast experience, gathered since its foundation in 1908, as well as our products, ReproZentrum offers everything for the creation, reproduction and archiving of data in the commercial, technical and graphical fields.

At the outset, the new partner ReproZentrum undertook the complete integration of LuraDocument.jpm into its LinkBase product – the electronic archive for cadastral surveying.
