LuraDocument.jpm: first available JPEG2000/Part6-Implementation worldwide
After successful completion of the BETA-Tests for LuraDocument.jpm C-SDK,
that were in high demand with participants from China, Thailand, USA,
Spain, Germany, Great Britain and other countries, the release version
of LuraDocument.jpm (JPM) being the standard compliant enhancement of
the well-known LuraDocument Format, is now available.
The new ISO-Standard for archiving of scanned color documents is
ready to be implemented into Document-Management-Systems (DMS),
Geo-Information-Systems (GIS) and other Imaging solutions. The
LuraDocument.jpm C-SDK for Windows will be available from 1. August 2003.
What's more, LuraDocument.jpm ActiveX Control is available as viewer.
Alternate viewers from other suppliers have already been equipped with
the new ISO-Standard JPEG2000/Part6 (JPM) during the BETA phase. Apart
from the popular IrfanView and Konvertor, numerous other DMS-supplieres
have announced solutions integrating the JPM-Format.
More partners are creating among other things system solutions for
german land survey offices and land registry and are going to implement
JPM into their applications as innovative and future-proof solution for
archiving of maps, documents and plans.
Release of the well-known LuraDocument Capture as Stand-Alone-Tool and
the Command-Line-Tool for high-volume batch processing and integration
into server processes will be in August.

Engineer of Ricoh Innovations (USA). Integration of the SDK is a mere
matter of days. 'Programming the Software is easy. Only little
development work was needed to integrate the compression solution into
our graphic viewer.', confirms Jean Piquemal, Chief Developer of
Konvertor (France). The BETA-Testers praise the stability and
functionality of the new LuraDocument version. In addition, quality,
compression rate and performance have been, like the previous version,
rated as exceptionally good.
