Now even closer to you: New regional test centers
There is a regional test center also near you:
http://www.luratech.com/company/reseller
If your company is located in or near Dortmund, in the Ostwestfalen-
Region of Germany, or in Switzerland, your travel time just got
shorter. Visit the regional test center nearby and let them give you a
live demonstration of LuraDocument.jpm. A regional test center can
become a partner only if it has enough practical experience using
LuraDocument.jpm in day to day workflow. In the regional
test center they will show you how the document management process
works using the example documents you bring with you!

JPEG2000 is now becoming the standard in biometrics: ISO/IEC 19794
JPEG 2000 is increasingly being integrated as a superior image
compression technology in other ISO standards.
The biometry standard ISO/IEC 19794 is very significant; because it specifies
standards in the areas of fingerprinting and facial and
iris recognition.
Or the ISO/IEC 18013 standard (Personal Identification - ISO
Compliant Driving License)
Driver's licenses in Japan are being created using JPEG2000. In the
future, Austrian passports will also be based on JPEG2000 technology.
The use of JPEG2000 is just beginning in biometric applications.
Make sure you have an early competitive advantage for your biometric
solution by putting your trust in this modern technology now!
Partnerships for JPEG2000 and PDF: PDF Tools AG
As part of its extensive partnership agreement, PDF Tools AG will
expand its PDF technology program by adding PDF compression tools –
PdfCompressor Desktop, PdfCompressor Server und LuraDocument.jpm
PDF-SDK. PDF Tools AG, which is one of the world's leading providers
of performant and platform-independent PDF products, already made the
decision in the summer of 2003 to implement LuraWave.jp2 in its own
PDF solutions in order to support PDF 1.5 functionality.
PDF Tools AG provides standard PDF tools and libraries. In addition,
they offer comprehensive development services for setting up highly
professional and client-specific PDF solutions. Over 1,200
organizations worldwide use the products of PDF Tools AG in
their work. Thousands of users use the technology indirectly via
OEM partners such as IBM and many others.
'Demand for high-compression PDFs for scanned color documents is
constantly increasing. We are using the PDF solutions of
Algo Vision LuraTech to add important tools to our range of products
that enable us to generate high-compression PDF files', says
Dr. Hans Bärfuss, Managing Director of PDF Tools AG.
New edition: LuraDocument.jpm Capture 5 is available
Now the latest version is available; it is not only easier and quicker
to install, but above all it is more comfortable to use. It is a
response to many requests from clients based on their daily routine
work with LuraDocument.jpm Capture. This includes improved dialogs,
simultaneous import of variously formatted files, import of compressed
TIFFs and much more. Even 'simple things' such as presetting to the
most recently used file types will greatly simplify the client's work.
