Many products already upgraded with the faster LuraWave.jp2 2.0 SDK
Many users of LuraWave.jp2 have already updated and now they are
benefitting in their applications from the considerable increase in
performance of the new version 2.
20 to 40% faster in processing
50 to 80% less memory usage
Benefit as well from these enormous improvements and ask our sales
department for update conditions and update contracts: Users of other
products of our company should also consider an update because many
of our own products benefit from the improved 2.0 SDK as well:
- All available LuraWave.jp2 SDKs are now based on 2.0 whether it is for Windows, Linux, Mac or C-SDK, Geo Edition or Java/JNI
- The LuraWave.jp2 CommandLine tools for Windows and Linux provide full 2.0 power
- LuraDocument.jpm also improves by the faster JPEG2000 function: The CommandLine tool and the C-SDK now attach on LuraWave.jp2 2.0.
Further releases will follow. Visit our online-shop:
Final opportunity to update JPEG2000/part6 for LuraDocument (LDF)
One year after the successful introduction of the LuraDocument.jpm
products the update time limit for the C-SDK and the CommandLine-Tool
ends: The two old LuraDocument (LDF) products can only be updated at
the update price till 31st July 2004.
In most of all cases an update is recommended urgently, because
LuraDocument is compliant to the JPEG2000/part6 standard. Users of
LuraDocument will certainly receive continuing support; innovations
and progresses will be found predominantly in the JPM-version.
Ask for your update offer quickly:
LuraDocument.jpm: New features at the CommandLine tool
Not only the performance of LuraDocument.jpm CommandLine-Tool is new
due to the faster JPEG 2000 compression of the color layer, but above
all the possibility to create a fax G4 TIFF file parallel to the JPM
file in one pass from the bitonal layer. This G4 file includes the
extract of the original file which is optimal prepared for an OCR -
without further computing effort!
In addition a number of further customer wishes have been realised,
for example:
- further TIFF dialects can be read
- the quality of the two color layers can be tuned individually
- JPEG2000 files are read, whereby also lossless JPEG2000 files which are used as digital master for example can be converted into JPM for their publication.
New Proof-of-Concept-Center in France: EBConsulting-ScanOptic
The successful concept of the regional test centers is now being
practised in France. Until now, potential customers mostly from Germany
have been able to try out LuraDocument for use in everyday archival
activities by bringing in their own documents to the regional test
centers and using them in simple, very practical tests. Now this is
also possible in the Paris area: We are delighted with the first French
'Proof-of-Concept-Center' at EBConsulting in Paris, France.
The advantage of the regional test center or proof-of-concept centers
for the customers is obvious: In the centers there are practical
customers' examples using LuraDocument in the workflow from scanning
to archiving. The staff at the centers also know LuraDocument from
daily use in their own work and will be glad to share their experience
with you! Well, take a few of your documents which have to be archived
and make an appointment to visit EBConsulting. Or in one of the other
regional test centers near to your location:
JPEG2000 on mobile devices:ARM9 and SymbianOS portings
What should a JPEG2000 toolkit provide to be integrated successfully
also on mobile devices?
It should be fast, little complex, because the mobile device shouldn't
be stressed too much: The LuraWave.jp2 version2 is one of the fastest
toolkits.
The memory requirement shouldn't be high: LuraWave.jp2 version 2
fulfils the condition because after all the memory usage has been
decreased again at about 50 to 85%!
The toolkit has to provide porting. 100% ANSI-C, external memory
management, no dependance on operating systems are only a few of the
keywords which can be mentioned here referring to LuraWave.jp2.
And: Many processors have no floating point assistance. A pure integer
version is needed. At this point nearly all toolkits have to pass.
But: LuraWave.jp2 offers this, too!
It's safe to say that the porting of the LuraWave.jp2 library is easy:
In short, the ideal toolkit for your mobile JPEG2000 application!
And also our customers' recently realised portings on, for example,
ARM9 processors have proved this because the portings were done within
a few days!
We will be glad to advise you:
