INTERGEO: Cadastral maps, documents, satellite and aerial images
On this year's INTERGEO from 13th to 15th October in Stuttgart we
present the newest GEO relevant features of our product groups
LuraDocument.jpm and LuraWave.jp2. You will find us together with our
partner Image Pro in
hall 5, booth 504.
LuraWave.jp2 GeoEdition, the product family for the JPEG2000/Part1
compression of satellite and aerial images, has a new member:
GeoView! GeoView makes intensive use of the JPEG2000 features 'progressive
and resolution-dependent decoding' as well as 'region decoding' with the
display of large and very large images. Thus screen-filling views are
presented in fractions of seconds, also still, if the compressed file is
large several GB (gigabyte)! Any section can be marked with the mouse and
can be zoomed and scrolled very fast.
Further clou:
GeoView connects JPEG2000 with GML, thus it shows for example all
GML-data contained in the picture and determines the coordinates at the
position of the mouse pointer from the GML-data 'on-the-fly'.
Also LuraDocument.jpm, the product family for the compression concerning
the ISO Standard JPEG2000/Part6 for scanned originals, presents its news:
JBIG2, a further standard of the ISO JPEG-group compresses black/white
originals around 40% better than TIFF Fax-G4! For the black/white layer
of the scanned cadastral maps and documents JBIG2 can be used optionally:
30% smaller full-color files without any quality loss are the result.
A worthwhile fair date, which you best agree upon in advance:
Forum de la Geide: LuraDocument.jpm version 2 starts in France
For the first time in France we present the ISO compliant compression
for scanned documents LuraDocument.jpm on the Forum de la Geide - the
DMS fair in Paris - with our partner EBConsulting / ScanOptic:
19th-21st October, booth D26
LuraDocument.jpm is the first document compression on basis of the
ISO-standard JPEG2000/Part6 world-wide - contrary to other products
which are proprietary and will remain this. LuraDocument.jpm compresses
a color document on one to two per cent of its original size and in
doing so the image quality remains! Memory and transmission costs go
down enormously.
Furthermore we show you the LuraDocument.jpm PDF-solutions. By this
scanned documents can be converted into the wide-spread PDF format,
with the same excellent compression rates and image qualities!
The market for color scanning is growing very strongly. Color
documents increase the acceptance of the users for ECM-systems. With
LuraDocument.jpm archives remain small, manageable and cost efficient.
In order to be able to serve the increasing need also internationally
first class, we established regional partnerships: In France
EBConsulting is our partner, who supplies the advice and support to
you with the realization of your scan project. LuraTech und
EBConsulting have been working together for more than 2 years.

For the agreement of a fair date:
New Regional Testing center: Image Pro, Business Imaging Solutions
Our partner of many years Image Pro from Karben near Frankfurt in
Germany is now also officially Regional Testing Center in the country
Hesse. Image Pro has enormous project experience with LuraDocument.jpm
in the service - already since the first days of the forerunner format
LDF.
LuraDocument.jpm is also fully integrated into the archive solutions of
IMAGE PRO. Customers in Hesse can get information and first-class
consulting about LuraDocument.jpm at Image Pro:
Business Imaging Solutions & Services is our first Regional Testing
Center in Austria. From now on in Gerasdorf near Vienna regional
customers have the opportunity to have the efficiency of
LuraDocument.jpm being demonstrated on-site on the basis of their own
documents.
Docutec AG und LuraDocument.jpm improve OCR recognition rates
Following the slogan 'Better segment dynamically than correct manually'
the Docutec AG makes use of LuraDocument.jpm in the context of its
'Xtract for Documents'-software: By this the original document is
segmented (divided) into three image layers. The text quality in the
segmented text layer is optimal, in particular with strongly changing
letter widths and background colors.
This leads to demonstrably better recognition quality connected with
less manual retyping and correction. The operating time of a document
is reduced substantially and costs are saved. Although the main
use of LuraDocument.jpm is the efficient compression of scanned, color
documents, some enterprises 'only' use LuraDocument.jpm for the
production of an optimal black-and-white layer, because through this
the OCR recognition rates are increased significantly. The solution is
already in use with a large health insurance company, which scans and
works several thousand cure regulations day-to-day.
Further information:
LuraTech, Inc. speeds up with LuraDocument.jpm in the USA
The expansion in the USA sales which was announced after the Management
Buy-Out of the Luratech GmbH has been started. Following the slogan
'easy-to-integrate toolkits, based on open standards in couple with
enterprise-class support' the LuraTech products have been introduced to
the relevant magazines and journalists. The famous EE Times of New York
writes:
First contracts could already be achieved in the vertical markets
GEO/GIS, medical and document management. In the USA, like everywhere,
it is considered as a fact: Solutions based on open standards are
preferred by the customer in relation to manufacturer-dependent
(proprietary) solutions.
At present a position in the sales department is to be occupied. Sales
experience within the software range is needed - ideally in sales
of software components: 'Regional Sales Manager California/West Coast'
is being looked for. For more information and your application:
