LuraTech on expansion course following management buy-out
Algo Vision LuraTech is to become LuraTech once again. After parting
ways with the Algo Vision Group, the management team is taking over the
business and will head the company under its old (and now new) name
LuraTech GmbH.
LuraTech will concentrate its work on the further development of both
JPEG2000 product families, LuraDocument.jpm and LuraWave.jp2.
The management buy-out is an important milestone. LuraTech's compression
solutions are highly desirable, as the steadily-growing demand shows.
The MBO will give LuraTech additional funds which will be invested
principally in the development of new products as well as the
expansion of the international distribution network.
The basic strategy of offering easy-to-integrate, standard conform
toolkits and enterprise-class support for industry and public authorities
remains unchanged. The new ownership will have no effect on existing
business connections, as the name change has not affected contact persons
nor their areas of responsibility within the company.
Carsten Heiermann will continue as Managing Director of the Berlin-based
LuraTech GmbH and President of LuraTech, Inc. with headquarters in
Redwood City, California. In addition he works as Managing Director of
the holding-company LuraTech Imaging GmbH in Remscheid, Germany.
