LuraTech Certifies 64 Bit Version of LuraWave JP2 (JPEG2000/Part1)

LuraTech is the first manufacturer to officially certify that its JPEG2000 is 64 bit compatible. Moreover, LuraTech has already deployed and integrated its 64 bit LuraWave JP2 technology into several customer applications.

Now 64 bit applications can access directly the JPEG2000 library without having to use the 32 bit modus. The LuraWave JP2 C-SDK is available as object code for Win64 and 64 bit Solaris. And it is availiable as source code, which makes it completely independent from the operating system and easy to port. Customers can request ready compiled object code libraries for other operating systems and platforms as well.

LuraTech libraries have been designed for easy integration and are guaranteed to be 100% ISO standard compatible. In addition LuraTech supplies enterprise-class service and support, thus providing the best JPEG2000 solution in the market.

LuraTech Offers the New 'PDF Specification v.1.5 Bundle'

Two new features in the PDF Specification v.1.5 are the ability to display JPEG2000 and JBIG2 images. As more PDF authoring tools include this new functionality, the requirement to support JPEG2000 and JBIG2 has increased drastically.

LuraTech now offers a special 'PDF Specification v.1.5 Bundle' that combines LuraWave JP2 and LuraDocument JBIG2 SDK's into one package. Designed for manufacturers of PDF compatible products, both SDK's are available as full codecs or as 'decoder only' versions for those who only need to view or print the new PDF format.

The special PDF Bundle is available on all leading platforms, operating systems and even as source code. And best of all, the JPEG2000 / JBIG2 bundle has a simple licensing model allowing 'unlimited runtime' for a one-time fee.

Zoran Corporation has already integrated LuraTech's solution into the IPS-product, the preferred software solution for manufacturers of printers and multi-function devices. Therefore, IPS can now print PDF v.1.5 compatible files. 'After an evaluation of several alternatives, we selected LuraTech for the support of JPEG2000 within PDF v.1.5.' says Tom Mager, VP Software Engineering. 'Since it was easy to integrate and LuraTech provided first-class support, we were able to incorporate the technology, on a source code basis, in just two weeks.'

'By using LuraTech products in connection with windream we can reverse this trend by making it possible for our customers to digitize and archive paper quickly without using large amounts of storage or loss of image quality.'

All of LuraTech products are certified:
  • LuraWave JP2 for JPEG2000 image compression
  • LuraDocument JPM for JPEG2000 document compression
