V5.2 Supports Vista and Optimizes Multi-Core Processing Capability for Automatic Job List Mode

LuraTech announced a number of enhanced features on its recently released LuraDocument® PDF Compressor Version 5.2, which expands operating system compatibility and makes the most of the solution’s multi-core processing capabilities.

V5.2 of the PDF Compressor is the first version of the software to officially support the Windows Vista operating system. The enhanced PDF Compressor also takes full advantage of the solution’s multi-core and multi-processor support in automatic job list processing mode, and enables parallel processing of multiple job lists in this mode in order to optimize use of available processor cores. These capabilities enable the software to load additional job lists as soon as at least one processor core goes idle.

Another upgraded option enables users to configure the software so a job does not stop when a critical error – such as when an input folder does not exist or an output folder cannot be created – occurs. Instead, the PDF Compressor goes idle and tries to start the job after a few minutes. This option is supported on both normal jobs and on hot folders.  Additionally, this new version includes improvements to external OCR result output and digital signature jobs for large batches of documents.
