LuraTech to Begin Shipping DocYard on March 5

Software Platform for Document Conversion and Capture Workflows to be Demonstrated at CeBIT 2010
SAN JOSE – March 1, 2010 – LuraTech, which provides software for managing document conversion and data capture environments, today announced that on March 5 it will begin shipping DocYard, a flexible software platform that enables organizations to build their own production-level document conversion and capture environments. DocYard, which was introduced in February, will be demonstrated at the LuraTech booth (Hall 3, Stand D34) during CeBIT, March 2-6, 2010 in Hannover, Germany.
DocYard is designed to give scan service providers and record managers a scalable, centrally managed platform for building their document capture and conversion workflows, DocYard enables these users to save time and money through easy implementation, set-up and monitoring of their processes. It also reduces many manual processes with more efficient automation, such as streamlining of quality assurance and integration of other tools into the workflow.
Key components of the DocYard platform are the Cockpit and individual functional modules. The DocYard Cockpit is the centralized graphical user interface that controls all functions of the platform, enabling workflows to be created and saved, and jobs to be started and monitored. The Cockpit also allows users to view resource utilization in real-time for each job, enabling them to assign additional resources, including manual workstations, where needed. By completely integrating manual and automated processes, the performance and reliability of document conversion and capture workflows can be greatly improved, while reducing costs.
With modules for DocYard, users can create custom workflows that can be seamlessly integrated and managed via the centralized platform. These modules include solutions for performing optical character recognition (OCR) or reading data from hard drives or scanners. DocYard also allows organziations to connect legacy tools and applications, and build additional functional modules, with an easy-to-use API.
