Cost-effective entry package for companies and administrative bodies

Algo Vision LuraTech introduces color electronic circulation folders
and archives at CeBIT 2003
The clichés of the postman always ringing twice or friendly mailroom colleagues
wheeling a cart through the hallways can now be put to rest. More and more companies
and administrative bodies realize that scanning image and document files in color, for
further processing or storage via digital distribution, is enormously time-saving and
cost-effective. This approach optimizes delivery, reaction and service processes,
thereby increasing customer satisfaction. In addition, digital documentation solutions
free employees from monotonous filing and distribution tasks in favor of more productive
activities. Until now, this form of workflow was only viable for larger companies due to
the prohibitively high costs involved, and usually only in black and white. However, for
many businesses and public authorities, the color representation of their documents is
a must. This is because color images in many cases transmit much more information than
grey or binary images, as details can be discerned more easily.
At CeBIT, Algo Vision LuraTech presents two package varieties of LuraDocument which
enable a cost-effective reorganization of business processes using digital technology
and simultaneously retain the color of original documents.
LuraDocument is an innovative compression software for scanned color documents containing
bi-tonal elements, particularly text, technical drawings and images. Text and image
components are segmented and compressed separately using the optimal algorithms.
LuraDocument thus enables the storage of color scans in excellent image quality in
spite of smaller file sizes.
Both CeBIT packages include the following components:
LuraDocument Entry Package I
1 x LuraDocument Capture incl. Encoder Runtime license for a scan workstation plus
10 x software for viewer workstations, e.g. 1 x LuraDocument browser plug-in incl.
10 Decoder Runtime licenses at an entry package price of EUR 1,395.00 plus VAT.
LuraDocument Entry Package II
This package is directed at the same customer/application spectrum, but designed for
greater output:
1 x LuraDocument CommandLine Tool incl. Encoder Runtime license software for one
scan workstation plus 10 x software for viewer workstations, e.g. 1 x LuraDocument
browser plug-in incl. 10 Decoder Runtime licenses at an entry package price of
EUR 2,750.00 plus VAT.
