Scan Service Provider improves productivity and precision in document processing using DocYard from LuraTech
DOCSOLUTIONS reduces its process throughput times by more than 60 per cent
(Berlin) The Mexican scan service provider DOCSOLUTIONS was able to significantly increase its productivity and precision in document processing by introducing the DocYard platform from LuraTech. DocYard is production software for scan service providers which integrates every step of production into configurable, centrally manageable workflows.
DOCSOLUTIONS uses DocYard for the successful execution of a project in which 80 fields per page required reading out from more than 1.5 million pages. The service level agreement (SLA) stipulated that DOCSOLUTIONS needed to extract around seven million fields per week- most of these, in fact, with an accuracy between 99.6 and 100 per cent.
“With our previous solution we would have needed twelve minutes per document and would therefore have been able to successfully process only 50,000 pages per week”, says Fredrik Nilsson, responsible operations manager at DOCSOLUTIONS. “But the automation and customisation to our requirements achieved with DocYard allowed us to reduce the processing time by 60 per cent. That means that reading out the data only took an average of four minutes or less. Moreover, we are in a position to satisfy the high degree of precision required.”
With the help of DocYard, DOCSOLUTIONS was able to automatically read out the data from its customers’ documents, using integration with OCR and ICR technology, with a very high level of accuracy. DocYard additionally offers comprehensive production reports (including service level monitoring) which also deliver data for production planning, costing or billing purposes.
