Additional Document Solutions

These document compression software packages allow the creation of compressed PDF, JBIG2 and JPM files in a variety of ways including add-on solutions for partner applications and tool kits to integrate compression into new applications.

Add-on solutions for partner applications:

LuraTech offers add-on solutions that enable document compression and optimization within partner applications. These solutions are easily integrated into existing workflows, can increase end user productivity through faster viewing and processing, and greatly reduce storage and bandwidth requirements with small files and faster data transfer. The solutions are based on open standards PDF/A, JPEG2000/Part6 and JBIG2.

  • Exporter for KODAK Capture Software: Designed for KODAK Capture Software, this solution supports MRC compression, OCR and full-text search and output to PDF, PDF/A and JPM file formats.
  • QuickScan Pro Exporter: Designed for EMC Captiva® QuickScan Pro, this solution supports MRC compression with output to PDF, PDF/A and JPM file formats.

Tool kits to integrate compression into new applications:

LuraTech also offers additional software tools kits, which allow organizations to integrate LuraDocument’s compression and document optimization into new applications.

  • LuraDocument PDF and PDF/A: These software development kits enable users to customize their applications with PDF compression functionality and output to PDF and PDF/A file formats.
  • LuraDocument JPM (JPEG2000/Part6): These software development kits offer the ability to integrate JPEG2000/Part6 compression software into any C/C++-based or .NET applications and output to JPM file format.
  • LuraDocument JBIG2: These software development kits are especially designed for compression of black-and-white content, offering a higher compression ratio to supersede the widely used Fax G4 technology.

Stand-alone capture and compress application:

  • LuraDocument Capture: This stand-alone, easy-to-use program scans and compresses multi-paged color documents and outputs to JPEG2000/Part 6 file format (.JPM). Using the LuraDocument compression technology, it facilitates storage of scanned color documents at excellent visual quality in files of minimal size.
